SweepLead vs other Google Maps scrapers
Last updated: 27 October 2026
Two kinds of tools pull business listings from Google Maps. Chrome extensions run in your browser, usually at a flat price. Online services run on their own servers and charge per record, with credits. SweepLead is a flat-price extension that covers a whole country with ready-made country plans.

What sets SweepLead apart
- A whole country, past 120 results. A Google Maps search stops at about 120 businesses. SweepLead runs the same search from every point of a country plan: 392 points for France, 3,434 for the United States. How the grid works.
- A flat price. €9.90 a month for 150,000 listings, emails included: no credits and no bill that grows with volume. Country plans are bought one by one on Pro (€14.90 per country) and all included on Agency.
- Emails read from each business's own website, with a check that the address's domain receives mail. How SweepLead finds emails.
- Your listings stay on your computer. Collection runs in your Chrome; our server only receives your licence key and a randomly generated device ID.
- Five languages: the panel and the Excel column headers come in English, French, German, Spanish and Arabic.
- A named publisher: Northark Studio Ltd, a UK company. Support at contact@sweeplead.com, with a reply within 2 working days.
What SweepLead does not do
Better to know before you install:
- No Google review text: only the rating and the number of reviews.
- No API and no online service: collection runs in your Chrome, and the computer stays on meanwhile.
- No names of owners or staff: SweepLead collects the contact details a business publishes, not those of its employees.
- No email without a website: a business with no website only has its phone number and address in the file.
- The Google Maps version is installed by hand, in developer mode, like the other Google Maps extensions sold outside the Chrome Web Store. Installation guide.
Which tool for which need
- You need an API, integrations (Zapier, HubSpot) or review text: an online service such as Outscraper or Apify.
- You collect small volumes now and then: paying as you go can cost less than a subscription.
- You prospect local businesses, city by city or across a whole country, on a fixed budget: this is what SweepLead was built for. The free plan (200 listings a month, demo region) lets you try it with no account or card.
