How to find business emails from Google Maps
Last updated: 27 October 2026
Google Maps gives a business's name, address, phone number and website, but never its email. To get it, you have to look on its website. That is what SweepLead does on the Pro and Agency plans.
Where SweepLead looks
- The home page of the website shown on the listing.
- The contact, about and legal notice pages it links to.
- A second read in a Chrome tab, for websites that refuse a simple request.
SweepLead reads the code of the pages, not just the visible text: it also finds the addresses placed in "send an email" links.
How it sorts and checks
- Addresses that do not belong to the business are dropped: those of website builders and page templates.
- The email on the business's own domain comes first; an address on another domain found on the site goes into the "Other emails (other domain)" column.
- The domain must receive mail: SweepLead checks it with a DNS lookup ("Email verified" column). Only the domain name is sent, never the address.
- Personal inboxes can be removed at export: a filter drops Gmail, Hotmail… addresses.
How many listings have an email
It all depends on the websites, so on the trade and the country. Our tests on 26 October 2026:
| Search | Listings | With an email |
|---|---|---|
| "car valeting" in Hereford and Worcester (England), Google Maps | 201 | 76 (38%) |
What it does not find
- No website, no email: the listing keeps its phone number and address.
- A website with no email address: the "Contact form" column shows whether there is a form.
- No personal emails of owners or managers: only what the business publishes on its website.
Other contact details collected
In the same pass, SweepLead records other phone numbers, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube and X profiles, the contact page, the VAT number and the website technology. More than 60 columns are available at export.
Try it
Email search is included in the Pro (€9.90 a month) and Agency plans. The free plan (200 listings a month) collects listings without visiting websites.
