Where G Maps Extractor is the better choice
- An API. G Maps Extractor sells an API for places, reviews and photos, from $15 a month for 1,000 requests. SweepLead exports Excel or CSV files, nothing more.
- Review text and photos. Its extension collects up to 250 reviews and 100 photos and videos per place on the Professional plan. SweepLead does not collect review text.
- Collection on its servers. The online service runs without your browser. SweepLead runs in your Chrome, at a human pace, and the computer stays on meanwhile: our grid test collected 1,016 listings in about 26 minutes.
- Decision-makers' emails. Its online plans include a monthly allowance of decision-maker email lookups (10 a month on Lite). SweepLead collects the contact details a business publishes, not those of its staff.
Where SweepLead is the better choice
- More listings for the price. £9.90 a month for 150,000 listings, emails included, with no tier to move up to as volume grows.
- A whole country, ready to run. A Google Maps search stops at about 120 businesses. SweepLead repeats the search from every point of a country plan (20 countries) and keeps each business once. How the grid works.
- Emails from each business's own website. SweepLead reads the website, its contact and legal pages, and checks that the email's domain receives mail. How SweepLead finds emails.
- Cancel in one click from the extension, under "Plan and licence".
