An Instant Data Scraper alternative for Google Maps: SweepLead vs Instant Data Scraper
Last updated: 5 November 2026
Instant Data Scraper is enough if you need a free copy of the list shown on screen. SweepLead is the better choice if you need the businesses' emails, or more than the 120 results of one search. Instant Data Scraper copies the list on screen. SweepLead visits each website and brings back the email. SweepLead is our product, so weigh what follows accordingly.

What happened in our test
On 30 October 2026 we ran the same Google Maps search with Instant Data Scraper 1.9.3 and SweepLead. Instant Data Scraper picked up the results list once we asked it to try another table. Its "infinite scroll" option stopped with "Table not changed", so we scrolled the list to the end by hand. It then held about 120 rows with names, ratings, addresses and phone numbers, and no emails. On the same search, SweepLead found an email for 40 of the 120 listings. The full test is in the list of extensions we tested.
When Instant Data Scraper is enough
- You only need what Google Maps shows: names, addresses, phone numbers, ratings, for one search at a time.
- You scrape other websites too. Instant Data Scraper works on any list, not just Google Maps.
- You want no limit and no account. It is free, with no monthly cap shown.
When SweepLead is the better choice
- You need emails. Google Maps does not show them. SweepLead reads each business's own website to find them, and checks that the email's domain receives mail.
- You need more than 120 businesses. A Google Maps search stops at about 120 results. SweepLead repeats it from every point of a country plan and keeps each business once. How the grid works.
- You do not want to scroll by hand. SweepLead loads the whole list on its own.
- Your browsing stays yours. The privacy policy of Instant Data Scraper's publisher, Flavr Technology (30 July 2026), says it may sell browsing data to business customers. SweepLead keeps your listings in your browser and does not collect your browsing.
Questions
Does Instant Data Scraper find emails on Google Maps?
No. It copies what the Google Maps list shows, and Google Maps does not show emails. SweepLead visits each business's website to find them; in our grid test it found an email for 338 of 1,016 listings.
Why does Instant Data Scraper stop on Google Maps?
The Google Maps list loads as you scroll, inside a side panel. In our test, Instant Data Scraper's automatic scrolling did not move that panel ("Table not changed"), so the list had to be scrolled by hand. Even then, one search stops at about 120 results.
Is there a free alternative to Instant Data Scraper with emails?
SweepLead's free plan gives 200 listings a month, 50 of them with email, without a card. See also the full comparison.
